Got this, unrolled it and wondered if I had bought the right thing. So off to the shower! Made sure the bathtub was squeaky clean. Tried to get it to lay flat. This was a bit if a go the first time as it wanted to roll back up. But, kind of got it. Fast forward to stepping into the shower. POP! YUP, that’s right. Wee little pops of it sticking to the bathtub! Like bubble wrap for your feet! Did it help with slipping? Kind of. After using conditioner on my hair, it did become abit slipper. But the rounded half balls then become like some reflexology therapy! It’s a nice wee thing! But does need better “non-slip” grip. But if youre bald and don’t need conditioner, YOURE GOOD TO GO!

I bought this thing last summer (July 2020) after getting sick of nearly breaking my neck on a number of occasions while showering in the bath.When my Dad refitted the bathroom in 2006/2007 he got the bath we currently have because it had bobbly bits on the the bottom that were supposed to be “anti slip”, but they seemed to make a fat lot of difference.After a few near misses, the bath finally got me in August 2019 (I was still feeling it at the Christmas dinner table).I decided to get this bathtub mat the following summer when there was a suitable gap in my poor long suffering finances.It sticks well enough, and I haven’t had any more slips in the shower.My Dad also seemed greatful for the purchase too after getting unsteady on his feet in the months leading up to buying the mat – after dismissing the idea of getting one of these mats or putting it off since at least the mid 1980’s: the first shower we had installed sent me flat on my back within minutes of the refitted bathroom being unveiled (so finally solved the problem 4 or 5 replacment shower units + a replacement bath later).Haven’t had chance yet to test if it’s machine washable, so far usually just squirt it with bathroom spray and hose it off with the shower.

This is good – suction is strong and it doesn’t move, and it helps to stop slipping in the bath. We bought it because my daughter has just started standing and crawling and wants to do so in the bath too! The only thing is you have to take it out every use other wise water gets trapped under it. Maybe that’s normal but I don’t know as I’ve never used one before

The reason I give it 4 stars for suction is because where the mat has been rolled it curled at the end and it is very hard to get the suction caps to stay stuck to the shower surface. So that being the case I don’t use that end – in fact I am thinking of cutting it off.
