2.5L Cool Mist Humidifier

It looks good especially with the blue glow and it is very easy to use. It can be infinitely varied to suit what you want. The only thing it doesn’t do is measure the humidity although to be fair none of them do. It would be a good idea to purchase a Hygrometer so you can set it to achieve a target humidity and take some of the guess work out of it.

Easy to set up and use . Portable throughout the house as required, if water compartment not filled.We changed from oil to gas heating and found the air very dry in the house, the humidifier really helped with this.

This humidifier is fantastic. It is quite large but don’t let that put you off. It’s not noisy at all so does not keep you awake at night. I cannot recommend this item enough. Don’t hesitate to buy it.

I bought this product because I fell ill with COVID-19 and at one point couldn’t breathe properly. It was very easy to put together and has a calming effect when in use (I leave it on overnight when I’m sleeping). I am very happy with this humidifier and have told my friends and family about it. I bought essential oils to use with it – once my sense of smell returns I’ll be sure to test that out, I’m sure I’ll love it!

Early days yet but first impressions. I bought the product because I read that if one was unlucky enough to contract COVID-19 then having a humidifier operating in the same room as the patient could be beneficial.We have not been ill (yet) but I’ve been running it in our bedroom at night because of the reported sleep benefits. It was very easy to set up and has a fairly large capacity reservoir so it will run for 4 or 5 nights without requiring a refill. It is also very quiet which makes it ideal for a bedroom. The ambient light can be operated independently of the humidifying function should it bother you.It operates exactly as described on the tin but are the reported benefits real?The honest answer is I don’t know yet – it is possible that the two people sharing the bed have not been snoring as much! And I feel that I have slept more soundly over the last few days.I will update this review in a few months time with a more considered opinion of the reported benefits.

I had this terrible dry unproductive cough that couldn’t be treated with anything… not syrups, not lemon and ginger concoction, not hot steaming … nothing! Everything I use to sooth a bad cough failed this time . After several nights of sitting up and night and not being able to sleep because of this terribly irritating cough, the light bulb suddenly and finally lit in my head… I should try a humidifier! I immediately grabbed my phone opened the Amazon App and started searching. I eventually settled for this and I must tell you quite frankly , in the first 10 mins of use my cough literally disappeared! It was like magic.To convince myself that it was the humidifier at work, I switched it off and the cough started again. I switched it on and the cough stopped! I used it for about 10days before the cough disappeared completely and now I can sleep without it.It’s quite easy to use and if filled full can last for two nights.However the design is defective because it doesn’t give you room to wash the inner compartments so when you have limescale and other nasty stuff building up inside , you can’t get rid of the stain and that just gives it a messy appearance.NB- I didn’t get a remote control in my package . So you owe me that seller .

I got this for two reasons: one was for my cat who has upper respiratory problems and for myself because I have asthma and the central heating seems to aggravate it. It’s really really helpful. The cat and I are not so blocked in the nose and my breathing is better because I normally snore and I listened to my pillow app and no snoring. Very happy 

I’m delighted with this humidifier. I have been using it for a week now. Since using it I haven’t been woken with my ‘tickley’ cough which I’ve had for over a year, and my mouth is nowhere near as dry as it usually was in the morning. There is the sound of the Waterfor a second at various times during the night but this has never bothered me. It is quite easy to fill. My husband helped me the first time with cleaning it as recommended but I’m sure I’ll be able to manage on my own. When you take the reservoir off to fill it, be careful as there is some water left in the tray.

Can stay going for the 40 hrs was quiet surprised . Great product

Does an excellent job of humidifying the central-heating dried air in a medium-sized room. Completely silent, apart from an occasional quiet gurgle as water goes from the tank into the base unit. I don’t use it in a bedroom, but it certainly wouldn’t keep anyone awake. It’s very adjustable, and on full power it works to re-humidify a dry room fairly quickly. The fact that it is cool mist makes it very safe to use around animals or small children.If, like me, you live in an old house with no double glazing, and it’s warm inside and cold outside, you will get some condensation on the windows, but it’s not really a pain to wipe up any that runs onto the wood. I suspect the condensation is less than would come from warm steam. The tank is a bit cumbersome to refill, but the machine runs for up to 40 hours on one fill, so it’s not as if it needs to be filled every few hours. Very pleased with it all round. I have some allergies and my dry eyes and stuffy nose have virtually disappeared using this.

I bought this humidifier after seeing on the web that they help with dry sinus problems. I have had flu since I purchased it and cant yet say it helps with sinus issues but it has really helped with congestion caused by flu, especially overnight. I have already recommended to friends. It was a bit bigger than I thought it would be, but that will save me filling it up as often. The blue light switches off and the slight noise it makes is not intrusive.

I purchased this to help my husband who has various lung conditions. As he coughs during the night we thought this would help. It is helping already and I am pleased we made this purchase. I wish I could have found one at this price before.

I bought one of these and it worked OK until I refilled the tank, then it just stopped producing mist. I contacted PureMate and they immediately sent a replacement – Top marks for customer service!. The new one works well. There are more powerful humidifiers on the market, but this does the job.

Great would really recommend this. I put it on in my bedroom and added a few drops of lavender oil in the diffuser tray just before going to bed and I had a great sleep.The price for this is a bargain and because it had a larger tank it doesn’t need filled as much as the other brands.The added light adds to it’s appeal.

Really pleased with this humidifier, which ticks several boxes in my requirement list, and then some. Nice large capacity water holder and easy to fill. Powerful mist producer the output of which, importantly, can be adjusted to suit via a handily located large dial on the front. (It would have been nice to have a similar fade up/down facility for the pleasing incorporated ‘blue light’, which functions via an on/off switch; a bit bright if you’re hoping to use it as a gentle snoozing background light for the bedroom, which I’m afraid it isn’t. I’ve had to shield the glare with a cushion propped up against it. However, the unit’s many plus points overwhelmingly outweigh this minor inconvenience.) Also crucial is its quietness: the noise level is virtually non-existent – a huge plus. And then, the icing on the cake: an easily accessed slot for adding your choice of essential oils as desired. Importantly, the oils do not mix directly into the water but, instead, the aroma is drawn up into the mist: the result is a pleasing constant background essence and is not overwhelming. All in all, I’d have no hesitation in recommending this excellent humidifier as a boon for any size room you may like to humidify.

Love this product, better than having a fan in the bedroom. It’s very quiet and the misting on your face as you sleep is cooling. Suffering with bad hayfever this year and this product helps me breathe in the night so I don’t wake up with a blocked nose and a dry mouth

Cannot review scent as don’t use that. Just use as humidifier with clear water and it works extremely well aiding breathing. My husband suffers from sinus problems and I am asthmatic and although we have only used this for 2 nights we have found benefit already.

I’ve had this for about a month now and I can’t believe I didn’t buy a humidifier earlier. Using it on max setting usually lasts a full 8-9 hour sleep and I feel like it does help with chapped lips when it’s cold.The noise is kind of like a minor hum which is peaceful to sleep to.One thing I wasn’t prepared for was the cleaning. I didn’t use it daily but it got a bit dirty inside. I followed the steps from other reviewers (diluted bleach) which did help but the actual plastic body of the humidifier was harder to clean – I eventually used a small old rag and then shook it like a cocktail. Helped remove any muck inside.All in all, great all round humidifier. Little hard to clean but I think most humidifiers would be

Bought this product for my son’s bedroom to help ease his asthma and allergies and have been very pleased with the results. The humidifier is very quiet when in use and has a large water tank. Easy to assemble and clean , simple operating instructions and a very competitive price for such a good quality product. Highly recommend!

My daughter developed croup one week after her brother came home from hospital. At the end of my tether with sleep deprivation, I bought this. The first night it was on she slept through until 5.30am, having not slept for more than an hour for the previous 5 nights. The second night it was on she didn’t wake until 6.45am. It is not coincidence…would thoroughly recommend.

I love this humidifier, it is a really essential item during the hot summer months.

Excellent humidifier, does the job well. Barely any noise but the tank filling can be made a bit easier but it actually doesn’t affect the working of this humidifier.
