I am disappoined that the groove around the outside is so rough that it is difficult to clean. It catches crumbs although it does catch liquid from fruit, vegatables etc.Wouldnt buy this again.

This is the second one of these chopping boards I’ve purchased; the first was mine, which gets used every day. The new one is a present for a friend who wanted a quality chopping board. It does the job very well; it’s just the right size, it’s kind to your knives and has proved to be very durable.

Appears to be a good quality board however it does spin on my worktop as if the board is bowed underneath, I have turned it over and it does not do it on that side but then the correct way has grooves around the board so should be used as such. So rather disappointed by the spinning! UPDATE.. 11 MTHS ON THE BOARD HAS NOW GOT A SPLIT RUNNING DOWN IT SO NOT VERY LONG LASTING QUITE DISAPPOINTING!

Bought this chopping board a few weeks ago, the delivery was fast and came in perfect condition. This is a great chopping board, bigger than I expected but this is no problem for me, it was actually a pleasant surprise; gives plenty of room for preparation. The groves around the edge are great for making sure no liquid end up running all over the kitchen tops. It seems really sturdy and well made, it was definitely worth the price. I’m really happy and would definitely recommend it.

It’s sturdy, it’s big, it’s beautifully crafted and it’s one of my best orders on Amazon. I was a bit off because of the price, but I have absolutely no regrets. It’s of amazing quality, its sturdy and won’t move from where it’s placed, making chopping easier and actually enjoyable. Easy to clean as well. EDIT: I wish to edit my review, having lived with this board for a while. I’m liking this board more than I had expected. Being that it is hard, it’s easier to clean than a soft (wood) board because food cannot stick. There is no coloration due to food being absorbed, as most wood boards do. It also dries out much faster.. It is absolutely non-porous. Considering the ease of use, I will not rate this board as a 4 star instead of a 3 star.If I had more money, I would possibly have BOTH a hard board and a soft board.ORIGINAL REVIEW: my review is my own opinion, you decide on your own.this is a chopping board made of bamboo, it clearly says so on the name. As such, it is quite hard. This might be a plus for some, but it’s generally useful to have the knife slightly bite into the board material when you work, to complete the cut, rather than what happens with synthetic boards, such as plastic. The board is very large, which i like. The hardness of the material also means that the typical TAK TAK TAK sound of using the board while chopping is quite louder then with a wooden board, even with a cloth under the board. Also, i’ve seen the next day this board being sold in a store for substantially less.So, it’s an ok board, if you need a chopping board this will do, but if you find a large wooden board it will likely be better, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT in a board. If you prefer a harder board and are willing to put up with the increased noise, and don’t mind spending a bit more than the street price, you can buy this board here.on the plus side, it is substantially lighter than a wooden board, while being just as solid as something quite thicker.

It’s hard and durable, the groove around the outside does catch the bits, but makes it harder the clean. Overall it’s a good board and I’m pleased with it. Just not sure the groove was a good idea. Yes you could use it the other way up, but then the grips on the side are designed for one way up.

Received Chopping Board a week ago so still trying it out. So far I am pleased with this item, it does not slip and is easy to pick up with the insert finger grips. It seems as though this would last for some time and I am hoping that it does not end up smelling like a lot of wooden boards. This was recommended to me by my daughter who is delighted with hers. Great size ideal for carving meats. So far it is easy to clean feels quite solid. I have ordered some mineral oil to maintain the finish. The durability is yet to be seem only had for a few weeks, but first impressions it is going to be a good buy. I might get a smaller one for my wife.
